version. It focuses on powerful language scans and presenting statistics instead of inserting comments. This results in a less cluttered, easier to use interface perfect for students' needs.

Transmogrify
There are other products on the market that offer quick comments, but
what truly sets Alchemist apart is its ability to scan through and
automatically markup documents, and they're all brought together in
Transmogrify. Click on Transmogrify and Alchemist will perform all its
scans—searching for over 300 individual language usages!
Not only does Transmogrify mark up the text, it offers a legend, advice, and links to web resources for even more information.
Custom Search Lists
The language pattern search lists are fully customizable. Add individual
words or even phrases to existing lists to expand its search or delete
what you don’t want in the list. Alchemist even comes with four lists
(two of which are case-sensitive) set aside for users to customize.

Tome

The Tome presents counts of all the markups in a neat table for a
snapshot of areas of concern. It also presents document statistics such
as average sentence length, paragraph length, words per sentence,
readability score, and passive voice percentage. |
